All-Island Obesity Newsletter May 2016


Registration is now open for the next All-island Obesity Action Forum Workshop which will be held in the MAC theatre, Belfast on Tuesday 14th June. The event will focus on current interventions that been developed using technology to aid behaviour change and reduce obesity. The event will host a range of national and international speakers who will present on innovative technologies designed to track, engage, monitor and change behaviour. Professor Cliona Ni Mhurchu who leads the Nutrition Research Programme at the University of Auckland will join by video link.

Health Research Board Conference 2016
The Health Research Board will host a conference in Dublin Castle on the 30th November bringing together decision makers, policy setters, health professionals and researchers. The Health Research Board has transformed the health research landscape in Ireland over the last 30 years and this conference focusses on putting what has been learned into practice for the benefit of people's health and the delivery of health care. Registration is now open.
